What Are Cookies?
A cookie is a very small text file sent to your hard drive by a web page server
to store on your web browser so that it can later be read back by that browser.
It is essentially your "identification card" and cannot be executed as code or
deliver viruses. Cookies from one site cannot be read by another site; it is
your unique ID and can only be read by the server that gave it to you.
What Are They Used For?
A cookie tells the web server that you have returned to a web page. If you have
personalized pages or register for products and/or services, a cookie helps
Stanley Supply & Services remember who you are. It allows us to be more efficient. We can
learn what is more important to our customers and provide you with the
information you need. Cookies enable our systems to recognize your browser and
to provide features such as storage of items in your Shopping Basket between
visits.
